Updates to the calendar, as of September 1

Due to a change in the football schedule, the Sept 16 game is now an AWAY game and the marching band will NOT perform that night.

Eighth grade band night, originally scheduled for the Sept 16 game, has been moved to the home game on Oct 21.

Patron Drive

Consider becoming a patron of the BHS Bands through a donation to the Band Boosters program. In doing so, you will sustain a long-standing program of musical excellence in the New River Valley. Use the donation form to send in your donation at any time during the year.

Own a piece of a piece … of history!

The Blacksburg High School band has commissioned Virginia Tech music faculty member Travis Cross to compose an original concert score to commemorate BHS’s induction into the Virginia High School Band Hall of Fame. A piece of this piece can be yours! Celebrate this historic achievement, accomplished by only six high school bands in the entire state, by pledging your support for this original piece. Retired BHS Band Director Dr. Diana Love has challenged all “Warrior Band” and “Bruin Band” Alumni to donate $5 for each year they were in an honor band.
