Directions to Performance Venues

Chilhowie High School

1160 E Lee Hwy

Take I-81 south to Exit 35, VA 107. Turn right at the bottom of the
ramp, cross the railroad tracks, then turn right onto E. Main Street
(U.S. 11 East). Follow Main Street/East Lee Highway through town about
0.5 mile to the high school on the right.

Alternative route: Take I-81 south to Exit 39, U.S. 11/Seven Mile Ford.
Turn right at the bottom of the ramp, then left onto U.S. 11/Lee
Highway. Go 3.5 miles to Chilhowie High School on the left.

James River High School

9906 Springwood Rd, Buchanan, VA 24066

Take I-81 North to Exit 168 for Arcadia. Take the exit and at the top
of the ramp, turn left onto Arcadia Rd. and cross over the interstate.
After you go over I-81, turn left onto Frontage Rd/U.S. 11, which will
head back the way you came, alongside the interstate. At the bottom of
the hill, you will pass under I-81, where the Frontage Rd. turns into
Lee Highway. Continue for about a mile, then turn right onto VA 43,
before you cross the bridge over the James River and head into town.
Continue to follow VA 43 for about 3 miles, then turn left onto
Springwood Rd., then turn left into James River High School parking
area.
Alternative route:

Take I-81 North to Exit 162. Follow
U.S. 11 north toward Buchanan. Go about 5 miles into town, then cross
the James River. At the end of the bridge, turn left onto VA 43/1st St.
Continue to follow VA 43 for about 3 miles, then turn left onto
Springwood Rd., then turn left into James River High School parking
area.

Pulaski County High School

Take I-81 south to exit 98, Dublin. Merge into traffic on VA 100 north
and get into the left lane as soon as possible. Turn left at the first
traffic light (beside McDonald’s) onto Alexander Rd (.4 miles). Stay on
Alexander Rd until it ends at a traffic light (1.3 miles). Turn right
onto Cougar Trail. After you pass the Kenneth J. Dobson Stadium sign,
take the first right into the parking lot for athletic events (1 mile).

OR

Take VA 114, Peppers Ferry Road, to Fairlawn (take Prices Fork Road
west until it ends at a traffic light at 114 or take 114 from U.S. 460
at the New River Valley Mall). Turn right onto U.S. 11 south and follow
it through Dublin. Not far beyond VA 100 and New River Community
College, turn left at the traffic light onto Cougar Trail. The high
school will be on the left, with the stadium just beyond the school.

George Wythe High School

Take I-81 south to Exit 73, U.S. 11 (Wytheville) onto E. Main Street.
Follow Main Street for about 3 miles (it becomes West Main Street), then
turn right onto N. 26th St. Go 0.3 mi, turn left onto W. Reservoir St,
then turn left onto Maroon Way and George Wythe High School. Buses park
in front of the school. Cars park to the left or behind the school.

E.C. Glass High School

The high school is at 2111 Memorial Avenue in Lynchburg. Take I-81 north
to the Cloverdale exit (exit 150). Bear right at the bottom of the ramp,
and follow Alternate 220 (cross U.S. 11 at the traffic light) until it
ends at U.S. 460. Turn left at the traffic light onto U.S. 460 east and
take that to Bedford and beyond. After passing Bedford as you approach
Lynchburg, there will be a major intersection with a Food Lion and Exxon
station on the left and a Sheetz on the far right corner. Turn left at
this traffic light onto Va. 811 (there will be signs for Poplar Forest,
also). Follow this road until it ends at U.S. 221 in Forest. Turn
right and follow U.S. 221, which will pass through a commercial area
(fast food, plus another Sheetz); somewhere in there it becomes Lakeside
Drive. Continue to follow U.S. 221/Lakeside Drive; just beyond
Lynchburg College (on the right), turn right onto Oakley Avenue, then
turn left onto Memorial Avenue. The high school will be on the left
just before the intersection with Langhorne Road (U.S. 501).

An alternate route is to continue on U.S. 460 instead of turning
onto Va. 811. Take the exit for U.S. 460 Business/Timberlake Road and
follow this road; it will become Fort Avenue at the Lynchburg
Expressway. Continue on Fort Avenue, Memorial Avenue will bear off to
the left. Follow Memorial Avenue to the high school on the left.

Cave Spring High School

Take I-81 north to Exit 141, VA 419 (Salem). Turn left at the top of the
ramp, then follow VA 419. After about 20 minutes, you will pass North
Cross School on the right. About 4 to 5 minutes past North Cross, turn
right on Chaparral Drive. Cave Spring High School will be on the
left.

Salem High School

Take I-81 North to Exit 137 (first Salem exit). Turn right at the end of
the ramp and get into the left lane. This street ends at a traffic light
at West Main Street (Hardees is across the intersection). Turn left onto
West Main. Go past Wal-Mart and get in the left lane at Spartan Square.
Turn left onto Spartan Drive at the light between Spartan Square and
K-Mart. The road dead-ends at the school.

Salem Stadium

The stadium is located on Texas Street in Salem just behind the Salem
Civic Center and next to the Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium. Take I-81
north to Exit 141, VA 419. Turn left at the top of the ramp, onto VA 419
south, and follow 419 through three traffic lights. After the third
light (you will see a Blockbuster Video on your right at this traffic
signal), veer to the right following the Salem Civic Center sign onto
Texas Street, also known as the 460 Bypass and the Truck Route. Go about
one quarter of a mile and you will see Salem Stadium on your left.

Glenvar High School (4549 Malus Dr., Salem)

Take I-81 north to Exit 137 (Salem) and turn right at the bottom of the
ramp onto Wildwood Road. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto
U.S. 11 south/460 west (West Main) and travel approximately 2 miles.
Turn right onto Daugherty Road (beside Fort Lewis Fire Station). Cross
over the I-81 bridge, turn left onto Tobey Road, then turn right onto
Malus Drive. Go past Glenvar Elementary School and Glenvar High School
is behind the elementary school.

Alternative route: Take I-81
north to Exit 132 (Dixie Caverns), turn right at the bottom of the ramp,
then turn left onto U.S. 11 north/460 east (West Main). Travel on West
Main approximately 2.5 miles, then turn left onto Fort Lewis Church
Road. Cross over the I-81 bridge, turn right onto Tobey Road, then turn
left onto Malus Drive.

Franklin County High School

700 Tanyard Rd., Rocky Mount, VA

Take I-81 north to Exit 143, I-581/U.S. 220 south (Airport/Roanoke).
Follow I-581, then U.S. 220 south through Roanoke for 30 miles to Rocky
Mount. Take the second Rocky Mount exit, VA 40/Franklin St. Turn left at
the end of the ramp, and follow that street for .3 mile, then stay
straight onto Tanyard Rd. to reach the school.
